That was quick! Ex WAG Maria Fowler snapped kissing footballer Nathan Eccleston on holiday... just days after announcing split from Lee Croft

She announced her split from footballer Lee Croft just a few days ago, insisting she was heartbroken and 'hurting so much'.

And despite also saying she was tiring of the WAG lifestyle, Maria Fowler has already moved on to another footballer - Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star has been snapped kissing the sports man passionately and leaving a bar holding his hand while she enjoys a holiday in Marbella.

Maria, 25, jetted out to the Spanish hot spot on Thursday in a bid to try and get over the break up from Croft, who she had been dating since last year.

And by Friday night she was all smiles again as she joined 21-year-old Nathan for a night out at InFuschia the new rooftop pan-asian restaurant attached to celebrity hotspot TIBU.

The pair sat down in a club and didn't seem to care who spotted them as they embraced for a series of kisses.

And a source close to the reality star told MailOnline the pair instantly hit it off and plan to meet up when they return home.

She said: 'They got on so well, they just clicked. He is so much nicer than her last boyfriend. But she didn't go out to snag a footballer, she didn't even realise he was one. I am not sure if she knows now.

Dressed in a strappy black dress by Celeb Boutique, Maria wrapped her arms around his neck as he placed his hand on her behind.

They were also seen getting cosy on a sofa during their two-hour rendezvous.

And it looked like Lee couldn't have been further from her mind as she left the venue with the footballer via the back door.

They then giggled as they walked along hand-in-hand.

Maria revealed on Wednesday that she had split from Derby County player Lee two weeks ago, when he told her he wanted 'time to himself'.

She revealed how they were planning children and a wedding, while she admitted she was struggling to get over the split.

She said: 'It's been a really tough time for me. I changed my whole life to be with Lee and moved up to Scotland to be with him when he was signed by St Johnstone on loan.

'I thought we were going to spend the rest of our lives together but Lee is not ready to settle down yet.'

Fowler then revealed she was jetting on holiday to get over the break up.

Maria admitted she was looking forward to showing off her new bikini body after dropping from a size 10 to a small size eight as she battles with the heartbreak.

And she's certainly doing her best to show it off as she was snapped soaking up the sun and parading her body on Marbella beach before hitting the town with Nathan.

She chose a beige frilly bikini which showed off her washboard stomach as she lay on a sun lounger and chatted to a friend.

And as if she was posing for a swimsuit catalogue she spread herself out across the sand as she took a dip in the water.

As if to show Lee what he's missing, the star has shown off her stunning new bikini figure in the two-piece, looking surprisingly cheerful considering the circumstances of her holiday.

But she has since hit out at fans who are slating her for enjoying herself straight after the split.

She wrote on Twitter this morning: 'Had a wicked night felt more myself again n nice to meet some ledge people. Feel a million times better than I did last week x

'And anyone giving me sh*t I didn't end my relationship so saying I'm in the wrong for going away u don't know what your talking about lol x.'

Maria has escaped to Marbella for some quality girl time and cheering sun- and hasn't been shy to share snaps and anecdotes from the trip on her Twitter page.

The star has posted messages such as 'all you need are your best mates', and made it clear that men are the last thing on her mind at the moment.

She tweeted upon her arrival: 'Just landed! And it's hot here! Its so wierd being back in marbella last august was my best hol ever. X'

She thanked her fans for their support at this difficult time, adding: 'Glass of wine on the port it is soooo hot and busy.... Thanks for all your nice messages your all so sweet xxx'

The reality star is taking some comfort from the fact that her heartbreak has caused her to rapidly drop the pounds.

Maria has admitted that she feels much more confident after the weight loss.

She said: 'I should look brilliant in a bikini because the weight has fallen off me since the split. I have dropped a dress size and I am now a really small size eight.'

The star was previously a slightly curvier size 10.

Maria started dating Croft last October and when the Derby County player moved to Perth in January, Maria followed him.

And she confirmed the split news on her Twitter page as she told her online followers: 'Can confirm that me and Lee have split after many tears and talks from both, it was unfortunately decided that the only option was to split x.'

Nathan, meanwhile has so far kept quiet on Twitter.

But just a few days before he met Maria in Marbella, he cryptically retweeted a comment from rapper Lil Wayne, which read: 'Like my girl low key, no photoshoots, no twitter, no none of dat s**t...just tune.'

But maybe he's had a change of heart since meeting the reality TV star as he certainly looked smitten.

Maria is in talks about two big new TV shows and is working with Lovehoney.co.uk on the 8 May launch of the Happy Rabbit - dubbed 'the iPhone of sex toys.'

'Work is going brilliantly', she added. 'I should have some exciting announcements to make about a fab new TV show and I am working with a number of big brands, too.

'Leaving TOWIE was the best thing I ever did. It opened up a whole new world of opportunities.'
